But everytime I would think of draining her, I would come back to my senses. Dang those senses!

But why. Why why why did the two of us end up like this? One mortal, one immortal. Things were nifty back in the day when food (he he, human blood) was plentiful. Back around whenever they got sick, I caught it too. But all I got was a nasty cold-like illness that went away after a day or so.

I didn't mind the slightly old blood for a bit. I tried to find ways to save and preserve it, but it was hard and did not last long.

Meanwhile, I can't starve to death, but starving certainly is a type of eternal torture! I have been hungry-starving for about a year.

And I still am, because little Rachel barely is able to provide a sip for me.

Well, there ain't no shortage of books around! So I found a couple of cookbooks. Of course they assume you can just skip on down to the local market to get the items. Nope, I have to hunt them down! Even the simpliest task of cooking a meal for her is going to take me a while.

Plus I am not a fast reader, sigh...
